The softball girls have all gotten a tattoo with the coordinates of our home plate where we played in college at EMU. I’m one of the few that have yet to get it. I told them all I would get it when one of them came out to visit, unless I was pregnant. Well, here we are! Of course the next morning while making breakfast she asked if we’d be going to the tattoo shop, and I smiled and said no. She immediately knew I was pregnant and gave me the biggest hug!
We ate breakfast burritos and then headed to my favorite place, Estes Park. After all, it is where Josh and I got married. We went into RMNP and hiked the Alluvial Fan trail. We went farther up the waterfall than I’d ever been before. Every little slip where I lost my footing was a little stressful, but I never fell so that was a win! We headed up to Bear Lake, which was covered with snow so we walked out on it a bit.
We had dinner at Grubsteak, a local favorite for a good burger. I was second guessing everything I ate, questioning if it was okay for the baby. I had downloaded an app on my phone to be able to check easily. My favorite burger had mushrooms, which the app said I shouldn’t have, or to be cautious; so I settled for a cheeseburger and water.

I checked my “Baby to Be” app tonight.
“Trimester 1: Week 5, Day 1.
Your baby is as big as an orange seed (Teeny Tiny)”
Countdown: 34 weeks, 6 days left”

Friday’s are cooking days for my students. Today we made “Fruity Frog Pops”. The recipes are always themed to go along with the weekly news story and this week was about a new frog species. They were a hit! The kids loved them.
That night we all went to Houffbrau for drinks, dinner and to see our local faves ‘That 80s Band’. On the way over we dropped off my car for a much needed oil change!
We got to Hoffbrau before our friends, and I didn’t want anyone to suspect anything of me not drinking so I ordered a soda water with lime. No one seemed to really notice during dinner, thank goodness!
Eventually we made our way over to the dance floor. I figured as everyone else drank more they wouldn’t notice that I really wasn’t drinking at all.
